Fabrika Azteka invites you to take part in a unique workshop exploring an ancient Mexican tradition: the rebozo. This sensory experience continues with a creative session, where you will decorate your very own ceramic tea bowl.
🌸 Part one: Discovering the Rebozo with Christine
Christine, from Tadoulamie.ch and founder of the Famaïa space in Neuchâtel, invites you to discover the rebozo.
The rebozo is a traditional Mexican textile, hand-woven on treadle looms and passed down from generation to generation. For centuries, it has been a companion to women in Mexico and Latin America—in their daily lives, their self-care practices, and their rituals.
Through gentle rocking motions and wrapping techniques, allow yourself to be cradled by a practice designed to:
- Release tension and promote physical relaxation.
- Soothe the mind and offer yourself a pause outside of time.
- Rediscover a sense of fluidity, lightness, and centeredness.
- Reconnect with your body, your inner sensations, and the present moment.
An hour to slow down, settle in, and explore a tradition imbued with gentleness.
🎨 Part two: decorate your tea bowl at Fabrika Azteka
After this relaxing interlude, it’s time to get creative!
Take a seat in the studio and personalize your very own ceramic tea bowl. Whether you choose specific colors and patterns, draw inspiration from Mexico, or simply let your creativity flow spontaneously—the choice is yours!
No need to be an artist or have prior experience painting on ceramics. You will be guided step-by-step, and all necessary materials are provided.
And because creativity is best enjoyed with a treat, a light snack will be served to accompany this lovely shared experience. ☕
